TIER works with any campaign setting. I have tested it in Faerun, anime worlds (like Bleach), videogame worlds (like Chrono Trigger or Halo), Star Wars, and etc. Tier also works with any Gods, spirits, cults, etc. However, I did create my own set of Gods, which I consider to be unique.
The Gods of TIER were not born with power, they earned it. They began their lives as everyone else and performed tasks that made them stand out. Some were blessed with the best circumstances. Others started at the bottom and worked their way up. They fought their entire lives to uphold their beliefs and ideals. After going through life and experiencing death, they ascended as gods to further their goals.
Hulgoth – The God of War
Hulgoth, an orc king, was the mightiest of warriors. He waged many wars and spent his entire life in battle. His ultimate goal was to raise havoc and destroy everything in his path. It took thousands of men to bring him down, including the unexpected help of Crowshun the kobold. While fighting to survive, Crowshun fired a lucky shot with his shortbow and weakened Hulgoth for a short moment. This was long enough for Leo, a human knight, to deliver the final blow, killing Hulgoth and ending the war against Dalania’s kingdom.
Now Hulgoth oversees all wars and uses his followers to create chaos during times of peace. They attack villages and towns that have weak defenses in order to claim more territory. They never take prisoners because they believe the weak deserve to die. They only accept adept combatants who are willing to fight anytime without question. Hulgoth and his followers also hold a relentless grudge against Crowshun and attempt to kill his followers on sight. However, he holds high respect for Tinkerton and anyone who crafts items for war. Hulgoth is chaotic evil and governs the following domains: Chaos, Destruction, Strength, and War. His favored weapon is a Greataxe.
Crowshun – The God of Survival
Crowshun, a kobold, did everything in order to survive. He was beaten and tortured by family, friends, and strangers throughout his youth. He wasn’t accepted anywhere, so he lived alone and taught himself everything without any help. He rose up from nothing and proved to the world that anything is possible. He accidentally got caught up in a major war when Hulgoth’s army of orcs invaded his territory. Crowshun retreated to Dalania’s kingdom and unwillingly fought against Hulgoth. Crowshun was no match for Hulgoth, but he scored a lucky shot with his shortbow that weakened Hulgoth long enough for Leo, a human knight, to kill him.
Now Crowshun uses his followers to help those who come from unfortunate circumstances. They especially help people who are lonely and do not have friends or family. Crowshun respects Leo for saving his life and defending his country against Hulgoth. He also respects Alejer’s resourcefulness, but resents how he achieved his status by stealing from others. Crowshun believes that true survivors are independent and do not need to steal from others. He is chaotic neutral and governs the following domains: Air, Fire, Hunting, and Weather. His favored weapon is a shortbow.
