Dead Island looks like an exciting new game. I can't wait to play it. I'm a big fan of story-driven zombie games. What do you all think?

I love when you're on the internet at work. xD
Also, it sounds exciting. I hope we can rent it or something. Yay zombies!

I read the story synopsis and game reviews. Good storyline, graphics, and gameplay options for single player and multiplayer online and offline. It's a "must buy" in my opinion.

I'm also a big Left 4 Dead fan. I love both games. I sincerely hope they continue adding new maps and other downloadable content.

I actually have been playing so Dead Island and I love it so far. Other than some weird glitchy cut-scenes (Don't know if anyone has been seeing 'dancing' characters during the cut-scenes) it is actually nicely put together like a real zombie-movie would be. Upgrades are also really nice and can make any of the four characters unique.

I finally bought Dead Island and started playing it. The game is super scary! I like the plot and quests. Unfortunately, there is no local co-op. You can only do online co-op, which is disappointing because I have friends who come over to my house often to play games. It would be awesome to play Dead Island locally with my friends.
Anyway, the characters are unique with detailed background stories. Weapons are realistic and level-ups are useful. However, I don't like how you run around and fight solo throughout the game. I think a true zombie apocolypse requires a group of people working together to survive.
However, my friend Danny pointed out something amazing about the game. He said that Dead Island truly shows how depressing and horrifying a zombie apocolypse is. People are dying, crying, starving, not sleeping, and just plain miserable. The music, bloody corpses, and environment make you feel like you are in a real zombie apocolypse. It's terrifying and that's why this game is worth playing. Just don't play alone...

All characters are interesting to play. However, Sam B. is the most broken character. He has regeneration and is almost impossible to kill once you gain enough skill points in the Survival tree. He doesn't deal as much damage as other characters, but his ability to survive is far superior to everyone else.
I think Purna has the best Fury skill because she can kill a lot of zombies from a good distance very quickly. Her damage output is insane, similar to the female asian character. Logan is more like a jack-of-all-trades kind of guy who's good at everything. But Sam B. is my favorite.
