I would like to make a note here that when Felnir gave Gorbag his memory back, Gorbag barely kept his sanity. He almost broke down and conceded to his former self. It took every part of him to maintain his current beliefs. He had a 35% chance of going from chaotic-good to chaotic-evil in mere moments! That could have altered the entire campaign and may have recreated it as the Nobles, Rebels, Drillers, and ORC campaign...where in the end you would call it the ORC campaign because everything else would have been turned to ash!
This isn't saying that Gorbag is the strongest being in the universe. But he could have commanded so many orcs, and had the powers of an evil god to back him up, that he could become unstoppable. That 35% chance was a huge factor in this campaign. Thankfully, Gorbag has decided to fight for a good cause and has dedicated his soul to Jubilee, his body to Felnir, and his life to making up for his past crimes. If he could become powerful enough, he would destroy Hulgoth, the God of war, for bringing such devastation to the land.

We fought a lot of crap today. We decided to clear out all undead and enemies in Felnir's fortress. We killed insects, wraiths, zombies, skeletons, even a dracolich. I disabled lots of traps and repaired damaged areas of the fortress. We ultimately succeeded in our endeavor. It was a long day, not much different from the usual.
However, I discovered that Felnir (our powerful dragon friend) had a problem. With all of his power and riches, he needed a good friend to share his problems with. He was struggling with a decision I made a while ago myself. He wasn't sure whether to help us whole-heartedly or not. All dragons are supposed to follow Bahamut, the god of dragons. However, Felnir feels closer to Jubilee, the goddess of joy, and wants to help us.
As a dragon, it's even more complicated because dragons aren't supposed to interfere with human affairs. They represent a higher order of beings. They are meant to live their lives and only interact with their own kind. Dragons also represent a strict alignment, a code of law that Felnir might have to break if he continues helping us.
I understood Felnir due to my own issues about being a Noble and helping the Rebels and Drillers. I like the Rebels a lot, but I'm not thrilled about the Drillers. Either way, I made my decision and helped Felnir make his. He appreciated my help and I'm glad.

Events began to accelerate from mild to severe. The Nobles sent an army to attack the Rebels’ Outpost. The Rebels and Drillers decided to amass their armies and attack the Noble city. Our group of friends decided to help at the Rebels’ Outpost and keep the Noble army there for as long as possible. We had no idea what we were up against.
The Queen of the Nobles arrived with her army. She cast Earthquake spells and completely destroyed the Rebels’ Outpost. They briefly fought us and then the Queen created a magical portal for the entire army to escape. They walked through it and we followed stealthily. We reappeared inside the Noble city!
I purposely separated from the group and stealthily killed multiple Noble guards to create a distraction. Alto and Aria took advantage of the distraction and destroyed part of a city wall. This allowed the Rebel army an attempt to enter the city and win the battle. Unfortunately, the Drillers betrayed everyone!
The Drillers briefly attacked a few Nobles, then went underground and attacked the Rebels from behind! Afterward, most of the Drillers escaped unscathed while the Rebels got slaughtered! Due to the chaos and betrayal, only 1/3 of the Rebel army escaped with their lives. Thanks to Smithy and other Noble allies, we narrowly escaped the city.
Gorbag, our orc friend, was at Felnir’s fortress training when a force of Drillers attacked. He managed to protect the fortress, but hundreds of friendly orcs died! A force of Drillers also attacked the Rebel forest encampment. Many Rebels and Fey creatures died. Felnir teleported Gorbag and a few allies over there to help, but it was no use. The Driller leader was too powerful. Gorbag’s priestess miraculously transformed into an angel, fought against the Driller leader, and sacrificed herself to save everyone.
After all of this failure, we regrouped at the Rebel forest encampment. Gorbag returned to Felnir’s fortress for more training. Alto and I helped the Rebels clean up, heal wounded warriors, bury the dead, and rebuild. Unfortunately, Lala's husband died in battle. Alto tried to help her cope with it, but he just made her mad. I thought Alto liked her...she thought the same thing...Alto didn't have a clue...more failure.
A few days later, my old alien friends visited me. They were the ones who helped me obtain celestial metal. They wanted me to help build a new power source in their alternate dimensional plane. I couldn’t pass up the offer and Selene, the priestess, joined me.
We spent a year with the aliens and completed the project. Their new energy source was brilliant! I greatly improved my crafting abilities and transformed into an alien myself. Selene and I returned to Felnir’s fortress and they had transformed too. Alto was now glowing with bright blue energy and Gorbag had become a half-dragon! I was only gone for a few days according to their time, meaning that time passes by much faster in the aliens’ alternate dimensional plane. We began discussing our past adventures and future plans for the war.

The first group of people who we wish to recruit for the war are the gnomes. We found one of their biggest cities located inside a mountain. It was loaded with traps, but I managed to safely guide the group through all of them.
When we reached the city, there were no guards and people treated us with respect. It seems that if people can make it past the traps, then they are welcome inside the city. Alto started playing music, talking with people, and gathering information. Gorbag wandered around looking for entertainment.
I took out my notebook and wrote extensive notes about the gnomes and their city. It was all very fascinating. Technology was floating around freely and people used it to complete all tasks. The inside of the mountain was perfectly smooth, no jagged rocks or any dangers in sight. Homes were elaborate and all architecture was well-planned.
Everything was wonderful until Alto asked the gnomes to help build a giant drill. Everyone stopped talking and walked away. We became friends with one gnome who explained that people always come here asking the gnomes to build things and they are tired and insulted by it.
We stayed the night and Alto got into trouble...no surprise here. A horde of demons attacked him while he was dreaming. Luckily Julissa (our friendly Juniper priestess) got to him in time and helped him fight them off. We think they were trying to kill or kidnap him. Either way, it proves that this city is not the safest place and maybe demons are the reason why nobody wanted to help us.

After Alto and Julissa were attacked by demons, we all went back to sleep. While sleeping, Alto received a threat message in a dream saying that we had to leave in one day or else people would suffer. That meant we had to work fast.
We began gathering information from the townspeople, but nobody would tell us anything about demons, so I came up with the idea of talking to the dead demon corpses. Unfortunately, we needed to find someone who normally uses magic related to undead...a priest of Norshka (the goddess of undead).
After a few hours, we discovered the whereabouts of a Norshka priest in a nearby village. We traveled there and met up with him. He was a middle-aged man who didn't seem too excited about seeing us. We paid him 3,000gp and he cast magic that allowed us to talk to the demon even though he was dead! The demon was super obnoxious and annoying. He bragged and talked a lot of shit. But we got the information we needed.
The demon told us that his buddies are all from the Plane of Chaos. They can travel freely throughout the planes and often visit the gnome city to take their expensive goods and technology. Whenever the gnomes argue or refuse, the demons threaten or hurt them, almost like a demonic mafia group.
Julissa cast a Plane Shift spell and took us to the Plane of Chaos. Plane Shift is not always a great idea because it can put you in a dangerous place in the plane. Luckily, we appeared exactly where we wanted to be, in the treasure room of the mafia mansion! Gorbag scooped up 10,000gp into his bag and we all found unique items. I found the Rod of Lordly Might. It has many strange functions, such as transforming into weapons, a ladder, and a rod that can break through doors.
I cast my "Locate Creature" spell and discovered where the demons were throughout the mansion. Using this information, we strategically fought through demons to the top. The funniest battle involved Chaos Beasts. They transformed Alto and Julissa into useless sponges! Gorbag and I took care of business and Julissa eventually cast Heal magic to restore herself and Alto back to normal.
We made it to the top floor and it was a huge throne room with demons: 1 Nalfeshnee, 1 Hezrou, 5 Vrock, and 6 Succubus. The Nalfeshnee was huge and powerful, the rest were smaller but also looked dangerous. The Nalfeshnee told us to leave or our Rebel friends would be attacked. Gorbag answered that by charging in and firing his acid dragon breath, critically injuring 5 Succubus. I launched arrows at the Nalfeshnee, Alto used bardic music to empower us, and Julissa killed the 5 injured Succubus with a Holy Smite spell.
The last Succubus flew out a window and all the demons attacked. The Nalfeshnee teleported into the center of the room and released a horrible Nimbus Light that stopped Gorbag and gave him terrible nightmares. Julissa healed Gorbag, but the Nalfeshnee charged toward me, grabbed me, and slammed me into a wall outside of the room.
I kicked frantically with my spiked boots and got a few good shots into his arm. But then he pinned me and I couldn't move. He continually beat me into the floor until I was near death. Alto did a great job keeping the demons busy in the throne room. But Alto approached death too as the demons grappled and mangled him. Gorbag tried to save me, but the Nalfeshnee released that Nimbus Light again and made Gorbag helpless. Eventually Gorbag freed me and I tumbled away to safety. The battle soon ended in victory, all demons killed except the Nalfeshnee who cast "Teleport" and barely escaped with his life.

After defeating the demons, we received a magical message from the Rebels. It turns out that they were attacked viciously by demons. I knew the demons weren't bluffing! Curse Gorbag and Alto for ignoring the demon leader's warning. We could have devised another plan or done something else to help the gnomes, maybe even sent the Rebels a warning so that they could evacuate or prepare to defend themselves.
The Rebels were very angry because they lost a significant number of innocent people and knew it was partly our fault (the demons told them). I responded back to the message saying we would hurry back there and help heal and clean up, but I knew this wouldn't be enough. We would need a miracle to help the Rebels now.
Before heading back to the Rebels, I visited a temple of Croshun (the god of survival) and donated 40,000gp. I prayed for a miracle or some way of helping the Rebels get their dead ones back. This did not solve the problem, but I felt a weight was lifted off my shoulders because at least I tried to help. Now off to the Rebels. They may yell, shout, cry, and even try to kill us, but we will help them deal with their pain.

Thank god for Alto! He gets us out of dramatic social situations with his looks and charm. People just can't stay angry at him. When we arrived at the Rebels encampment, Lala was pissed at us. She stomped toward Gorbag with her kukris out, ready to skin him alive. She was angry because demons had attacked the village, killed many people, and destroyed homes. But Gorbag stayed calm, I spoke kind helpful words, and Alto took care of the rest. We also helped clean up, rebuild homes, and heal the wounded. She eventually calmed down and Alto explained our plan to fix things.
Prior to visiting the Rebels, we had gone elsewhere to pray and build a shrine for Crowshun and Jubilee. During prayer, Gorbag received a vision of a glowing mine with earth and lava all around. After he told me the details, I figured it out and explained where we had to go...to the center of the earth. Jubilee wanted us to go there. Julissa was glad to help us get there.
Julissa teleported us to the center of the earth. There were streams of flowing lava and thick rock everywhere. This was certainly not a safe place. Thankfully, Julissa teleported us within a mile of the glowing mine! We can get what we need and get out quick.
As we approached the glowing mine, two gargantuan fire elementals emerged from streams of lava and one colossal earth elemental emerged from the ground in front of us! The fire elementals launched relentless tidal waves of lava at us! Alto experienced terrible pain from the lava, Gorbag and I took it pretty well, but Julissa surprised us all. The lava fell around her without harm; she had magical immunity to fire! Spellcasters rock!
Julissa cast the same magic upon Alto while Gorbag and I attacked the elementals viciously. The earth elemental tried launching boulders at us, but Gorbag blocked and took the hits for us by transforming himself into a huge creature. Alto was slow at the start, but he soon began firing his sonic music attacks at the elementals and weakened them all greatly. Alto and I took care of the fire elementals while Gorbag took the earth elemental head-on.
Julissa was quite the lifesaver. She contantly healed all of us, even ran into deep trouble to help. Gorbag got pounded repeatedly and thrown into the lava. I also went unconscious when the fire elemental cast magic and burned my heart and internal organs. But my regeneration and Julissa healed my wounds and I kept fighting.
When we finally defeated the earth elemental, it fell on top of Gorbag and nearly drowned him in the lava! Julissa and Alto were still immune to fire, so they dove in and saved him.
After caring for our wounds, we entered the glowing mine and discovered that it was all diamonds! These diamonds were worth millions of gold! But it all made sense now...Jubilee wanted us to find the mine and use the diamonds to revive all the dead Rebels. Revival magic requires diamond dust and there's enough here to revive at least a thousand Rebels.
We had no way of getting all these diamonds back to the Rebels. Luckily, Alto made a 1-night contract with Lustria, the goddess of desire. Lustria took a few diamonds, then opened a magical portal, and transported us and the entire mine of diamonds into the Rebels' forest!
The Rebels looked at us all with shock. We looked at the priestesses of Jubilee with shock. They looked hotter, more experienced, and combat-ready. Due to their experiences and loss of the head priestess, they are now hardened and ready to do whatever it takes to help us. They had all the dead bodies prepared and ready for revival...as if they knew in advanced about the whole plan. It must have taken all day and night. They sure worked hard and we're all thankful for their help.
I smiled at Selena, my beautiful priestess, took a diamond, crafted it into a ring, and used my telepathy to propose marriage to her. She said "Yes", turned bright red, and kissed me. All the priestesses began using the diamonds to revive the dead Rebels.
It would probably take weeks to revive them all, but it'll be worth it for the upcoming war. We received a message from across the world...the Drillers have begun marching. People are evacuating, running away from their armies. They are traveling slowly, but killing anything and everything in their path. It will take them about a month to reach us, but we will gather allies and train anyone who's ready and willing to fight.
We asked the Rebel elders to aid us in finding more allies. They needed a few days to use magic and figure it out. We helped train the rebels and rebuild their homes for two days. Selena and I had fun celebrating our wedding engagement. Alto had fun with Lala, getting her pregnant to help increase the Rebels' population. Gorbag surprisingly slept with Julissa! She said that she wanted to get to know her traveling companions better...
The elders finally pointed us in the direction of the dwarves. They informed us that the dwarves are having political issues and problems with undead. Julissa teleported us into their largest underground city. It was large and magnificent, full of metals and stonework.
Merchants were plentiful and civil unrest was abundant. People were shouting, cheering, reveling, and fighting amongst each other. We bought goods and gathered information about the situation. It seems that the dwarf king recently died and there are two twin brothers who are politically fighting for the throne.
Gerald is like a noble, concerned with city problems (such as lack of water) and everything else except war. Gerome is the opposite, all about military power and completely focused on dealing with the undead who have been attacking the city for hundreds of years. We decided to help both of them deal with their city/war problems and then attempt to reconcile them after the problems are solved. Alto wants them to rule the city together.
We spoke with Gerome and after a lot of convincing, he agreed to the idea of co-leadership and accepted our help. We borrowed four dwarven soldiers and ventured toward the heart of the undead problem. Afterward, we'll find a solution to the water problem and then try to reconcile these twin brothers. Hopefully it all works out.

This adventure sucks and it's not getting any better. We started traveling through the mountain and underground to reach the source of the undead that are attacking the dwarves. We have a solid group, but there's only so much we can handle. Within the first hour, we were attacked viciously by undead zombies and skeletons.
After the battle, I tried to sneak the group past enemies so we wouldn't have to fight everything along the way. Unfortunately, we have many loud individuals...so we ended up in another battle. The monsters seem to get bigger and stronger as we go deeper. We had to fight zombies, skeletons, and two huge-sized undead. One was an ogre and the other a minotaur.
Towards the end of the battle, I fired arrows to kill the huge beasts, but Gorbag purposely got in the way! Seeking glory and the final kill, he willingly took 2 arrows to the back and proceeded to bash their heads in. Thankfully nobody died...yet.
Looking for a solution to our survival problem, Gorbag came up with a simple and great idea...running past enemies as fast as possible. He turned big and carried any slow individuals while the rest of us flew or ran fast. This worked out very well, until we all started getting tired. We ran for 16 hours straight, then called it quits.
We were getting ready to campout and rest for a few hours when suddenly, an undead ice dragon came out of the ground! He wasn't alone. About 40 skeletons came out of the ground and walls as well. The battle started with the dragon flying into the air and blasting frigid cold at us. The skeletons mobbed us quickly as we tried to retaliate.
We fought off the skeletons, but Alto greatly surprised all of us. He played wild music that strengthened us. He also played songs that sent painful sonic waves at our enemies. Lastly, he was able to control and scare away some undead. But none of this was enough to save our dwarven friends. The dragon landed on top of the dwarven soldiers, crushing 3 out of 4 of them. Julissa narrowly dove away and launched powerful Holy Smite spells.
The battle waged on until we defeated all our enemies except the dragon. He mysteriously phased into the ground and disappeared.

I told Alto to draw a detailed picture of our surroundings. Afterward, we teleported back to the Dwarven city and gave them the three dwarf corpses so they could conduct their burial rites. Then we teleported home, ate dinner, and slept comfortably for the night.
The next day, I told Julissa to take a good look at the picture and use it to help her teleport back to where we were in the underground caverns. She successfully got us there and we continued our hunt for the source of undead. Julissa has become a valuable asset, a wonderful and useful companion to have along. Thank god for her.
We tried our best to avoid fighting the countless wandering undead. We fought a few, but escaped from most. We also found a few corpses of adventurers and some funny items. Gorbag found a deck of illusions, the coolest and most useful item. He would throw cards out and illusions of animals would appear and distract the undead while we ran past them.
Alto and I pulled a trick of our own too. As we continued traveling, we found another group of undead. I helped Alto sneak up close and he used his turn undead and staff of necromancy to scare away and control undead.
After a full day of traveling, we finally made it to the source of undead. There were dozens of skeletons roaming around three huge plant-like formations with balista-like holes. Luckily, I studied many books over the years and remembered that in history, these things have been discovered before. They produce undead and puke them out of the balista holes. We had to destroy them.
Gorbag had a special bad of tricks with a brown bear. We attached oil to it and commanded the bear to charge directly at the first huge plant. It splattered oil onto the plant and I shot a flaming arrow at the plant. It lit on fire and Julissa fired an empowered "Firestorm" spell upon the plant, destroying it.
All of the skeletons attacked us, including a few huge and dangerous undead cloud giants. Alto managed to turn these away after a while, but not before they dealt significant damage to him. Our dwarf soldier bravely charged forward and attacked the undead while I shot many arrows and flawlessly survived against a flood of zombies surrounding and bashing me. My defenses are very strong, but Alto's beautiful music makes myself and the party even harder to kill.
We felt pretty confident that we'd have an easy victory, until Julissa began casting her next spell and suddenly, an undead ice dragon attacked her viciously and her spell failed. This was the same damn dragon from yesterday. We never killed it, so it escaped and now it's back to kill us. Julissa cleverly tumbled away from the dragon and I desperately fired arrows upon him; some hit while others bounced off harmlessly. That dragon's got thicker skin now. All the undead seem tougher than before. We soon realized that all of the undead were being bolstered because the area is desecrated!
The other two huge plants were spitting out more undead at a rapid pace and when Gorbag got too close to a plant, it started blasting "Wail of the Banshee" spells! I can't believe the dwarf survived; he sure has toughened up ever since he joined us. He wanted revenge for his lost dwarven brethren and he's fighting for it, tooth and nail.
After annoying the dragon long enough, he finally charged and grappled me. All I could do now was kick him with my spiked boots repeatedly. I hit every time, but did little damage. I was at his mercy, but Gorbag saved me. He started grappling and pounding on the dragon with all of his might. Julissa fired multiple holy smite spells to kill off the undead and barely kept the dwarf soldier alive. He was gutsy, but took many hits and nearly died more than once. He eventually resorted to fighting in full-defense and chugged potions so he could keep defending Julissa. But she didn't need defending; she's amazing in battle.
During our fight with the dragon, a surprise horde of undead attacked us from behind. They got a bunch of cheap hits on us and made the battle a bit more scary. Thankfully, Alto and Gorbag killed the dragon. Alto blasted his sonic music of doom and Gorbag finished him off like an angry barbarian. Julissa cast a maximized Fire Storm spell and destroyed the last two huge plants. We finished off all of the remaining undead and the dwarf soldier vowed his loyalty and devotion to us since we helped him avenge his friends.

At the end of the undead battle, Julissa transformed into a Half-Angel! All of her hard work has finally paid off. In addition, our dwarf soldier friend vowed his allegiance to us and said he will come with us when we leave the dwarven city. Gorbag approached Julissa, touched her, and froze for a moment. He said he saw something bad happen, but wouldn't tell us. Julissa didn't want to know either. She said "Don't worry, we'll figure it out".
We teleported back to the Dwarven city and they thanked us for our hard work, giving each of us 5,000 gold. We were all exhausted and went straight to sleep. Fortunately, Alto and I only have to sleep for 4 hours. So I spent the rest of the time building a shrine to Crowshun, the god of survival.
Our new dwraven ally said he would stay behind to do a little training and get fitted for his new armor and weapons. This was his reward for surviving the ordeal and helping to save the city from undead.
We began following the dried up river, through the cavernous mountain, for a day and a half to find where the water had stopped. We ran into a group of bandits, defeated them quickly, and moved on. Other than that, the hike was uneventful and easy.
We arrived at an area with collapsed rocks and boulders. We also saw water struggling to get through and heard angry noises on the other side. It sounded like someone was throwing a tantrum. Alto and Gorbag moved the rocks out of the way and we began fighting against an angry golem.
We recognized this golem from a previous encounter months ago. It belonged to a wizard. Julissa contacted the mage and gave him our coordinates. We fought the golem for a long while and the wizard didn't come. Julissa said he was having trouble finding us. Alto teleported with Julissa outside the mountain, met up with the wizard there, and they all teleported into the cavern.
The wizard calmed the golem down and thanked us. He's a very powerful wizard named Mathias. He sometimes loses track of his golem because he travels to different dimensions to explore, learn new arcana, and do business. He sold us some goods for a discounted price and then left with his golem.
Now that we've solved the river problem, the dwarven city has water again. We teleported back to the dwarven city and found a terrible surprise. Everyone was celebrating, yelling, and booing the election of a new dwarf king...but Gerome was nowhere to be found. We rushed to the colosseum and the judge and jury were waiting for Gerome. They said that if he did not arrive in an hour, then Gerald would automatically be elected!
Julissa sent a magic message to Gerald asking where his brother was. He gave a flaky and nonchalant response about his brother and my mind suddenly went berserk...I was thinking so quickly that nobody except Gorbag could understand my thoughts.
I thought about what Gerald said in the magic message and I figured out where Gerome was! I ran outside the colosseum to the end of the city and found a basement door with two guards. We all took them out quickly and fought our way through an underground dungeon.
We harrassed one of the guards and realized it would take us too long to fight everyone. Alto had a genius idea and used his tower shield to overrun and bull rush everyone in our path! What a beast! It totally worked and we quickly reached the final room. There was an Earth Elemental in the way. He was a giant wall that wouldn't budge. It took a lot of swords, arrows, punches, and Alto's sonic music to take it down, but we killed it.
We made it inside and there was an assassin with a dagger to Gerome's throat. I came up with a brilliant idea. I swiftly strummed Alto's lyre (magical music instrument) and walls surrounded Gerome like a prisoner to protect him. The assassin tried to tumble fast enough into the prison to kill Gerome, but I was faster. Realizing he had failed, he teleported away.
We teleported back to the colosseum, showed evidence of Gerald's treachery, and Gerome became the new king of the dwarven city! We were rewarded with magic items (thanks to Alto's charming personality) and a promise that the dwarves would help us fight in the war against the Drillers.

We teleported over to Felnir's fortress and rested for a day. Alto and I woke up early and improved the Crowshun Shrine. I also prayed a bit and then we heard loud noises outside. There were hundreds of monsters trying to break in. We went outside and they said they wanted to kill us and take over the fortress. If only they knew who they were getting involved with. This must have been Cthulu's handy work.
Alto, Gorbag, and I fought against their leaders. There was an orc leader, two minotaur leaders, an abomination slime monster, and a goblin leader. Needless to say, we destroyed them. They were no match for us. We've been adventuring around the world, even to different planes, battling against countless monsters. We managed to spare the lives of three out of five leaders. After defeating them, their minions (about 300 total) joined our cause against the drillers.
This was the only exciting thing that happened today. The rest of the day was basic training of our new armies and relaxing before our next task...hunting down a very dangerous red dragon. Months ago, this red dragon attacked Alto and I when we accidentally went into its territory. We barely escaped with our lives. But now we're stonger and we want to hunt it down to make sure it doesn't interfere in the upcoming Driller war. Dragons don't often interfere with humanoid affairs, but dragons have been known to accept very large payments in exchange for their services...

So we hunted down this red dragon...easier than I thought it would be. I found his hideout and led the group through caverns and mountain caves. When we found the dragon, he tried to use cheap tactics such as pit traps and magical darkness. They certainly worked at the beginning. The dragon crushed us on top of a pit and Gorbag and I both landed inside the pit with spikes piercing out backs. But Gorbag grew big and grappled the dragon. I don't this the dragon was expecting this because the battle ended shortly after Gorbag pinned the dragon...which was amazing. We all got free attacks on the dragon and destroyed it outright. We got its horde...totally worth the trouble. Each of us received about 75,000gp worth of goods.
We wanted to try and recruit the Kobolds, but we had to smooth things over with the Nobles first. We can't win the war without them. We teleported into the Noble city and were escorted, by plenty of guards, to the king and his royal family. We had a talk, Gorbag apologized for his past mistakes, and we all agreed to work together to defeat the Drillers.
We told the Nobles about our new allies that we've recruited: the dwarves, gnomes, cloud giants, orcs, and other monster races. The Nobles were impressed, but things were more dire than we knew. They had a massive telescope on top of the castle's highest watchtower. We looked through it and saw the Driller army; there must have been a million, at least, and they stretched across the horizon. Scouts say that they destroy anything in their path.
We teleported to the Rebels encampment in the forest and learned of a horrible decision...the Rebel elders planned to stay in the forest and fight the Drillers when they arrive. Lala cried and tried to convince her grandfather and the elders not to stay behind, but she failed. Alto and Gorbag also tried talking to them, but they failed too. However, Lala's grandfather gave Alto a special chalice to give to Lala. After this, all of the Rebels, except the elders, left the forest and traveled to the Noble city to prepare for war.
During the day and night, Gorbag and Alto came to peace with themselves and their loved ones. Gorbag and Julissa finally became an official couple and so did Alto and Lala. Selena and I worked together with the Noble city craftsmen to create a beautiful shrine for the gods of good. If we were going to have any chance in this war, we would need the gods' help. We gave up all of our remaining money for this religious tribute...hopefully it will help.
Next morning, the war began. The whole Driller army turned invisible right before they attacked us. There were Drillers, druegar (evil dwarves), gnome robotic constructs, earth elementals, and demons fighting against us. It was absolute chaos! Gorbag, Julissa, Lala, and I fought together on the battlefield. Uncle Ruckus, Chink with his rhino, and Dyon the dwarf soldier all fought together as a cleaving team watching each other's backs. Alto with his undead cloud giant skeleton, Aria, and Mathias with his golem all fought together on the city walls.
At the beginning, it wasn't too bad. But as the hours passed by, things went from okay to disaster! The flying demons attacked the castle walls. Giant ladders and magical bridges allowed enemies to walk up to the top of the walls and attack. Gnome robot constructs made incredible leaps and jumped up onto the walls! The Druegar kept turning invisible and attacking our men from behind with sneak attacks. The earth elementals were not attacking; but they were creating rock walls to block spells and grappling our men on the ground. We were all barely holding our own until...Bjorn, the Driller king, arrived.
Bjorn moved with lightning speed and began killing all dangerous spellcasters. He tried to kill Aria, but she narrowly avoided the attack and fell off the castle wall. Bjorn significantly harmed Mathias and he teleported out of the war. Then he suddenly appeared in front of Julissa. She had been recently attacked by enemies and was distracted when Bjorn thrust his fist into her chest and created a fiery explosion that blew up the top half of her body, instantly killing her. We all tried to stop it, but we were too busy, too slow, and distracted in the war.
Gorbag lost it and charged at Bjorn. Gorbag grabbed his throat and Bjorn whispered something...then he transformed into a colossal-sized Tarrasque! Then Alto did something that shocked us all. Aria launched Alto across the battlefield and he landed on top of Julissa's corpse. Alto thrust a ring into her corpse and revived her! Julissa awoke, grabbed Alto, and said, "We need to get to the artifact! I know where it is, the gods told me. We must go now; I can take us."
We had no idea what she was talking about, but it was a message from the gods...it may be our only chance. Julissa began casting "Plane Shift" to take us to the artifact. But before we left, we saw Bjorn, the tarrasque, leap toward the city walls and destroy two-thirds of it! We also saw the Noble Queen about to be eaten alive by Bjorn...
We appeared in a large dark cavern with nothing but a glowing object on the other side. This must be the artifact. We began walking toward it and then a group of creatures appeared before us: a Druegar, an Earth Elemental, the Nalfeshnee leader of the demon mafia, a barbarian Driller, and their minions.

We beat the trash out of these guys, but Alto was the superstar here. These enemies had all kinds of annoying abilities. The earth elemental kept me grappled for most of the battle while the Nalfeshnee and others all tried using mind control, stunning, and daze attacks. Most of these abilities, however, did not work thanks to Alto. He kept all of us strong and protected with his bardic music. Gorbag bashed a lot of heads and Julissa did a great job healing and keeping everyone alive.
After defeating them, we all walked up to the artifact and held it together. It began to glow brightly and spoke to us. It said "this is your chance to change everything, a second chance for the world. Will you take it?" We all agreed and it changed us. Alto and I gained the power of magic. I gained the Cleric Domain of Luck. Alto gained the Cleric Domain of Leadership. Gorbag gained the ability to use the Cleric Domain power of Strength three times per day.
Julissa cast Plane Shift and brought us back to the battlefield. The Noble City was partially destroyed and almost all of our allies were dead. Suddenly, everyone started being resurrected! Our allies were coming back to life and attacking the enemies. The Noble Queen and Aria both came back to life and began casting attack spells at the tarrasque with all their fury.
Our group charged toward the colossal tarrasque (Bjorn) and started attacking. I shot arrows from afar, but many of them were being deflected away. Gorbag grew big and tried grappling the tarrasque, but he laughed and grabbed Gorbag. Alto sang his bardic music and Julissa performed healing spells to keep us all alive.
Soon the tarrasque jumped over and grabbed me. Lala tried attacking the monster's hands to release Gorbag and I, but it was no use. I yelled at Alto to get me a big diamond from the Noble Queen. The Noble Queen threw it into the air and an eagle caught it and brought it to me. I used the diamond to cast the Miracle spell, begging the gods to help Gorbag. Gorbag suddenly grew into a colossal creature and began punching the tarrasque! But the tarrasque was still stronger and multiple healers were helping Gorbag stay alive.
Most of the enemies were now dead except the tarrasque. All of our allies began attacking the tarrasque simultaneously. It looked like a fireworks show with hundreds of arrows and spells bombarding the tarrasque. He was quite resilient; we weakened him greatly but couldn't kill him even with all of this help.
Cthulu, a powerful creature who has helped Alto periodically, asked if he could take the tarrasque's soul. This was a strange request, but we were desperate and said yes.
A magical gate opened behind the tarrasque and Gorbag pushed him into it. Black tentacles began grappling the tarrasque and sucking out his life energy. However, even this was not enough to kill it. Alto gave me another big diamond and with one last desperate attempt, I cast another Miracle spell begging the gods for help. The gods delivered the final blow, causing the tarrasque's body to disintegrate. The soul seeped into the portal, screaming in agony, and the portal closed. That was the end of Bjorn and the war.
We spent a month helping rebuild the Noble city. The Rebels moved back into the forest and are now permanent allies with the Nobles. Lala became the new elder leader of the Rebels. Lala also married Alto. Alto began working on his new city of trade between all people. With the help of everyone, it will take about a year or so to complete. Gorbag and Julissa also got married as well. Last but not least, Roaric and Selena got married too.
Everyone fought hard to earn their happy ending. However, there are already plans for an Epic-level campaign to continue this storyline after the Zelda campaign. Here's a big hint: Cthulu will be the main villain.
