This is a plot summary of the Future Ogre King Campaign (told by Icefist, a legendary hero).
I was wandering around the plains when I saw a group of goblins being torn apart by a Marilith demon. I don't care too much for goblins because they often destroy nature and cause trouble for others. However, a fairy and a human appeared and didn't notice the demon. The demon attacked them and they tried to escape, but failed. They were both about to die until I froze the demon with my ice magic. We fought together against the demon and it eventually teleported away. They introduced themselves and explained their mission involving the city of Loudwater. I introduced myself using multiple nature languages, but they did not understand any of them. I hate people who don't understand nature and I refuse to speak their common language, but their quest has good intentions. I nodded my head and continued to walk toward Loudwater. They followed me; I guess we're now a team. Within a mile of the city, we run into an air elemental and an elf named Altier. They inform us that the city is well defended with an army of ogres. It seems that a famous fire elemental dark elf is the warlord for the Ogre King. He visits Loudwater and many other cities to check security and prevent rebellions. Our new air elemental friend grew impatient and disappeared. An unnatural fog and blizzard appeared over the city. The elf led us safely through the entrance and into a hiding spot. Unfortunately, our human friend, Bahd, is a bit clumsy and loud. He became annoyed that we couldn't pronounce his name correctly, so he screamed out by mistake and the ogre guards captured him. Luckily, the air elemental appeared suddenly and teleported Bahd away. Eventually, a battle broke out near warehouses and a tower. The fairy and Altier both disappeared, but I saw a series of electricity spells launched upon ogre guards. I launched my own ice spells to help out and soon all the unnatural weather disappeared. Derek, the fire elemental warlord, appeared at the balcony of the tower. Our air elemental friend, Rei, charged straight at him with both fists glowing with magic. Suddenly, he was knocked away by two invisible ogres! Derek started launching fire spells at everyone! Altier tried climbing the tower and attacking from the roof, so Derek blew up the roof! There were also 10 annoying archers attacking us from the city walls. Luckily, Rei managed to take care of them.
Using my blindsight, I also sensed four invisible ogres at the base of the tower. I'm like a tank, capable of taking many hits. I took on those four ogres and eventually defeated them, but then Derek came down with two more ogres to kill me. He had defeated Rei and I was next, until Altier threw a dagger from the shadows of the tower. Derek fell unconscious and the last two ogres surrendered.

I healed some of Derek’s wounds and woke him up. Christian, the fairy, and Rei began questioning him about everything. He told us about his family history and connection to the elves of the High Forest. If Derek dies or does anything against the Ogre King, then the High Forest will be destroyed by dark magic. He also explained that the only way to protect the High Forest was to restore the ancient mythals, which are guarded by powerful spirits. Derek swore that if we saved the High Forest, he would help us defeat the Ogre King. However, the citizens of Loudwater wanted us to kill Derek. We decided to let him live and explained to the people everything so they could at least understand why.
We decided to venture back to the High Forest and restore the ancient mythals. As we walked out of town, a short hooded man stopped us. We talked a bit and he wanted to join us. He was a mercenary looking for work, so we let him join us and told him he could have whatever treasure we find. We quickly found out that this man was an earth elemental named Ur Galan. He traveled underground the whole way, until three colossal centipedes came out of the ground and swallowed him and Bahd whole! As usual, I froze one or two creatures and everyone else kicked ass. Ur Galan blasted his way out of the creature’s stomach using a powerful crossbow.
We reached the entrance of the High Forest, but found a merchant there. Merchants were hard to find now because the Ogre King controls most of the trade in Faerun. We traded goods with this man and he told us to call his name aloud if we ever needed him again. He turned into wind and wisped away. Afterward, we entered the High Forest and soon found the elven encampment. We spoke with the elders and reported what happened in Loudwater. They were thrilled and told us all about the mythals.
The mythals were magical protections that lasted for thousands of years. Unfortunately, they stopped working when Mystra, the goddess of magic, was killed. People came from around the world to steal goods and tamper with the High Forest. The elves defended the forest, but were unable to protect the ancient mythals. When magic was finally restored, the mythals didn’t work. The elders can perform a 24-hour ritual to revive the ancient spirits of the High Forest. These spirits can restore the mythals, but only if they are defeated in battle. They are aggressive, powerful, and chaotic. After hearing this story, we told the elders to start the ritual and we would fight the ancient forest spirits.
We had 24 hours to do whatever we wanted. I rested and meditated for a few hours. Christian became great friends with a few elven girls and disappeared with them for hours. Rei started a celebration with music, food, and dancing. I joined in and sang a song in Sylvan, the language of fairies. I was doing okay until Rei helped me out. He’s such a great performer; maybe I can learn from him.
Later in the night, Ur Galan saw creatures dancing in the sky. I didn’t think anything of it, until 2 huge explosions burst from the sky! 45 elves died instantly! The other 15 elves barely survived and ran away in fear. We figured out that they were demons capable of performing the “Dance of Ruin”, which creates a fatal burst of negative energy. We all fought and killed the demons, but the damage was already done. The elves were terrified, crying, and morally broken. We failed to protect them against those damn demons. They truly needed us now more than ever. Hopefully the elders can finish the ritual soon so we can restore the mythals. I helped bury dead bodies and heal the wounded. Then we all rested and waited.
A few hours later, the ritual was complete. Three gargantuan treant spirits appeared. They were ghostly-looking. I didn’t waste time asking questions; I knew they were dangerous and fired an ice spell that froze one of them. The other two didn’t seem affected at all. I guess they really were ghosts, and hard to hit. They started summoning other tree creatures to help in battle. Thank god Rei and Christian were there. I kept freezing enemies while Christian fired multiple arrows and Rei launched insanely destructive spells. Bahd did better than usual because apparently his favored enemies are plants! Regardless, it wasn’t an easy battle. The trees used their vines to grapple us and cast spells to fire large piercing logs at everyone.
Eventually, we defeated all but one and he surrendered. He spoke to us briefly and then sacrificed himself. His body transformed into magical energy and restored the ancient mythals of the High Forest.

We returned to Loudwater by teleporting onto his tower balchony. I hailed the word “Peace” and Derek walked out cautiously to hear us. We explained our victory in the High Forest and he was thrilled. He considered it the first of many great things to come in the fight against the Ogre King. He is now our ally, but we must reach his siblings to gain their trust as well. Derek told us one was guarding the oceans, another was guarding the dwarves and the Underdark, and the last sibling was guarding the floating psionic continent.
We spent the night in Loudwater. I spoke with Derek for hours about his life story and learned everything about his siblings. Christian opened a kissing booth and enjoyed the women of Loudwater, then took his favorites elsewhere for extra fun. The rest of the group just chilled out or went to sleep early.
Since Rei is a pirate captain and has his own ship, we decided to head out to the ocean and begin searching for the water elemental sibling. Rei has a magical folded boat (about 20 feet long) with crew members and everything! We used it to travel about 300 miles down a series of rivers, which took 3 days. Along the way, we ran into 5 Harpies attacking a group of humans. We attacked and took care of them. That’s the only thing that happened in three days.
We reached the ocean and met up with Rei’s real pirate ship. We ventured within a safe distance of Waterdeep, one of the largest and most successful trade cities in the world. Unfortunately, this city is controlled by the Ogre King, which means we cannot enter without risking certain death. In order to find the water elemental sibling, Rei wanted to catch her attention by raiding trade ships coming into Waterdeep.
I never thought being a pirate could be so much fun. I didn’t feel bad for these people since they were working for the Ogre King. I tried not to kill people, but there were some casualties. We successfully captured a trade ship with a corrupt captain. I beat the crap out of him, slowly and brutally, with my ice fists. Then I forced him to show me his secret stash. He had 10,000gp worth of jewelry. I took it and walked away. Rei wanted his own crew members to kill the captain, but they refused. I also spoke against this because I had already beaten and robbed the captain, which was enough justice already. Thankfully, Rei agreed and teleported the corrupt captain into Waterdeep. Rei recruited all healthy crew members as pirates and kept the ship as a new pirate ship for his personal fleet. I was elected as temporary captain of the new ship until a more suitable person could be found. We also captured a second ship and recruited its members as pirates. Christian convinced a few female pirates to “entertain” him.
A third ship, however, was a bit more challenging. Christian summoned an orca whale and had it ram against the side of the boat. I swam to the other side, climbed up, and surprised attacked everyone with ice magic. I continued firing ice spells while Christian, Rei, and Ur Galan fired long range attacks and spells. I felt excited as all the guards kept trying to attack me and failed. My defenses were impenetrable. After a while, the battle was over and we had won. But it felt like an empty victory.
We spoke to the survivors and they seemed confused. They didn’t even know why they were being attacked nor did they have any trade goods. They weren’t even sailors. They were guards told to board the ship, sail in a circle, and sail back to port. This means Waterdeep is concerned about our activities and sent this ship out as a test. Rei decided to use magic and send the ship back to port with nobody on it. We recruited the survivors and went on our merry way, looking for more trade ships to attack. Hopefully the water elemental will find us soon.

It was a regular day on the ocean when suddenly, things became dark and cold. A blizzard popped up out of nowhere and destroyed our sails. We were now stuck with using paddles. Then a giant whirlpool appeared and started sucking us in. One of our crew members screamed from the top of the crow's nest "giant sea monster!" Our party members tried firing arrows and bolts, but couldn't hit the creature due to the blizzard.
Christian got smart and summoned whales to pull our boat out of the whirlpool. At that moment, the giant squid monster leaped 200 feet out of the water and next to our boat! It started flailing around with its colossal tentacles, further destroying the ship and killing our crew members.
Since the squid monster was now next to our boat, however, we all managed to fire attacks and spells that killed the monster fairly quickly. But the damage was already done. Our boat was destroyed. We were sitting ducks. I suggested making our way to a nearby island to do repairs, but Christian and Altier came up with a better idea. They organized a plan with our crew members. a few would stay on deck with white flags and gain the attention of a nearby ship. Then we could take that ship over!
I stayed on deck as protection in case things got out of hand, which was almost guaranteed in these dangerous waters. Sure enough, a pirate ship came within an hour and began firing pistols and boarding our ship! 4 crew members died, but the rest on the deck jumped off ship. I took those pistols shots and sword slashes with pride. I was a wall of pure defense and some attacks did draw blood, but many bounced off harmlessly. While I was keeping the pirates busy, Christian and Altier were using magic to teleport our crew members secretly to the other ship. They all arrived safely and clung onto the outside of the ship, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.
Ur Galan was well hidden and fired easy shots. Together, we both killed many pirates and kept fighting until our crew members made a valiant charge on their ship. About 6 more crew members died, but we took over the ship. Some pirates were captured while others jumped off their ship. We found great weapons, armor, and gold. It was a complete success, but we had to honor our dead crew members. We decided to sink our old ship with the dead crew members.

One day, we were sailing on the high seas when we noticed the strangest thing...a celestial charger (a powerful unicorn) attacking a pirate ship. It was outnumbered by 12 pirates firing crossbows and pistols, so Ur Galan wanted to help and I tagged along. He got into sniper position and started firing at the pirates with his crossbow. I jumped into the water and swam toward the boat.
In about 15 seconds, I got there, boarded the ship, and ran between all of them to negotiate a peaceful end. It didn't work. They all screamed at me saying "it's a water monster! Kill it!" I fired a few cold spells and then our crew members signaled me to go save the unicorn. Apparently, the pirates shot down the unicorn while I was swimming to the ship. I jumped into the water and repeatedly dove in different areas looking for a drowning unicorn. Luckily, I found him and brought him above water. I healed him enough to get him breathing again, then started firing more ice magic at the damn pirates.
The pirate ship was now next to ours and some of their men had boarded our ship! Ur Galan was doing great, but there were so many pirates that our crew members had to help fight. Suddenly, a loud explosion caused shards of wood to fly. Someone on the pirate ship blasted a cannon at our ship! They yelled for me to go find the cannon man and I went. There were quite a few cannons, but I found him quick and beat his ass. In the end, we killed 8 pirates, knocked five unconscious, and forced them to join our crew after I healed them. Unfortunately, five of our own crew members died in combat as well. At least we got a new ship added to our fleet.
I spent an hour healing the unicorn and injured crew members while Ur Galan and others thoroughly searched the new ship. The unicorn awoke and immediately cast divine magic upon himself, which was surprising and interesting. Then we had a deep philosophical conversation in Sylvan! I was thrilled because he knew a lot about geography and nature. He also explained his situation about how he received false information about the pirate ship and its members. He was mislead into thinking it would be an easy task when it was more like suicide. He felt like he owed us a debt of gratitude, so he decided to investigate a situation for us.
During one of our previous pirate ship encounters, we found a map and notes about mutated creatures attacking small islands. Pirates were planning on stealing goods from the islanders while the mutated creatures are raising havoc. The unicorn agreed to investigate where these mutated creatures are coming from and how to get rid of them. We agreed to go help the islanders and the unicorn will return upon completing his investigation. He also agreed to heal our crew members if needed.
Ur Galan and our crew members found about 1,000gp worth of goods on the new ship. Surprisingly, Ur Galan donated all of it to his crew members and they were thrilled! I felt it was such a good deed that I also gave 1,000gp of my own to the rest of our crew members and they were happy too. In addition, the 8 pirates we killed had good equipment and it all went to the crew members responsible for sailing the new ship.

We headed to the tropical islands and saw humongous crocodiles and crabs raising havoc. They were destroying everything and eating people alive. Halflings and gnomes were running for their lives. We all jumped into the fray with ice magic, ranged attacks, and other surprises. Our most important objective was to save the halflings and gnomes. I froze a monster, which allowed a few to run away. Christian summoned a giant centipede to dig a hole for people to jump into and escape. Ur Galan and Rei fired ranged attacks and all together, we managed to save half of the people in the tropical island village. Unfortunately, the other half were eaten or killed by the mutated creatures.
We killed the mutated crocodiles, but the mutated crabs went into the nearby caves. We saw some halflings and gnomes run into the caves earlier, so maybe the crabs were chasing after them.
Christian reacted immediately by teleporting into the caves. Ur Galan and I began running over to help as well. Ur Galan has incredible listening skills. There was a triple forking path inside the cave and he was able to hear Christian's fairy wings flapping, which helped us decide which paths to take. We split up and each of us fought against a giant crab. I froze my enemy crab, which allowed the endangered gnomes and halflings to escape. Then I created multiple walls of ice to trap my enemy crab inside the cave. Christian and Ur Galan killed their enemy crabs and saved a few people too.
We all returned to our pirate ships and Rei soon appeared with stolen goods and about 14 new pirates. He took care of a pirate ship that attacked on the other side of the tropical islands. He sunk their ship and saved half of their crew members. The others died in battle or went into hiding on the island.

Christian had a difficult sleep the other night and he approached me. He said something very surprising. He admitted not getting along too well with me and that he was trying to learn one of my languages. Then I realized that he was speaking Auran, the language of air elementals. I was thrilled! He also told me that he heard a female air elemental speaking to him, calling for help.
We discussed the matter and went to the Plane of Air for assistance. After sneaking around and gathering information from other air elementals, we finally met the grand elder. He said “only 1 or 2 air elementals in all of Faerun would care to contact Christian”.
I took Christian back to Faerun and to Rei, who was at a bar trying to get female pirates to join his crew. Christian decided to help him out by advertising and talking with the women to “persuade” them. He flirted for a while and convinced 7 women to join the crew.
As we started to leave, however, another woman called out to us. She was strong, confident, firm, and dangerous looking with plenty of daggers. Her name was Isabella and she spoke to Christian for a while claiming that the women belonged to her and she protects them against male pirates. In order to earn her trust, Christian offered a dance and they twirled all over the bar. Their dance was fierce, powerful, and full of temptation. In the end, it all worked out; Isabella and her women agreed to join the pirates.
Rei finally spoke with Christian about the mysterious air elemental and her call for help. He revealed that the air elemental is one of Derek’s sisters. Derek is part of a family of 4 elemental siblings. We know where she is, but we dare not go there unless we have an army with us. She is currently on the floating psionic continent. It randomly appeared in the sky years ago and has an entire race of powerful psionic creatures. They have never attacked Faerun, but they made an alliance with the Ogre King. After learning all of this, Christian was set on going to the floating continent to find Derek’s sister.
In a moment’s notice, Christian vanished. He did not return for hours. During this time, I decided to try and find the female water elemental (another one of Derek’s sisters). I swam to the deepest depths of the ocean, and used magic to speak with nature. I learned all about her, including her favorite hideout; a sunken ship at the bottom of the ocean. However, she found me by accident. She was too powerful to take on alone, so I escaped immediately. She cast ice magic and summoned multiple sea creatures to try and capture me, but I evaded most of them using my own magic.
However, a determined gargantuan whale chased me all the way back to our ship! I dove onto the ship and in mid-air shot an ice spell at the water to freeze the whale. Luckily this worked and the whale did not crush the ship. Christian summoned creatures to help move the ship out of the way and then we fought against the whale. We defeated it quickly, but Christian got annoyed at me because I interrupted his fun time with the new female pirates. I explained what I learned to my companions and then went into trance for four hours.
When I finished my trance, I met two new companions on our ship. Landon is a wood elf warrior who wields a large shield. He has been fighting in the underdark and on the surface with drow, dwarves, gnomes, and Garth (the earth elemental brother of Derek). They have been secretly helping the rebellion while pretending to support the Ogre King.
The other new companion on our ship is Liana, the air elemental sister of Derek. She contacted Christian multiple times and they had a secret rendezvous. Liana said she was getting desperate and couldn’t pretend to support the Ogre King any longer. She informed Christian about Garth and the rebels. Christian found them, helped save a few rebels, and befriended them. They also travelled to the High Forest and saw flames of death raining down, but the ancient mythals protected the forest. The elves are safe in the High Forest, for now.
Unfortunately, that means the Ogre King knows the truth and will now begin acting more aggressively against us. Garth and Derek are safe, for the moment, and preparing for war against the Ogre King. But Liana is now vulnerable. Hopefully we can keep her safe and rescue her water elemental sister as well.

The last TIER session was great; it was a solo mission for me, Altier. Garth, the earth elemental and brother of Derek, sent me on reconnaissance to the Yellow Rose Monastery. I elected to bring along Isabella; she is a pirate captain from Pirate Isle. After grilling her on her qualifications she proved quite reliable and similar to me. She strives in sneak attacks and trickery! My kind of girl.
As we approach the Monastery we saved a protester who gave us key information. We found out that all who protest the Ogre King are sentenced to pain and misery, or even death. We use our stealth to sneak aboard the caravans and pass through the guarded city wall. Once inside we make our way to the infirmary where I talk to some of the injured protesters. They give me more information on what goes on in the city and how they are treated.
Once our position is given away I hide while Isabella sneak attacked the guard. Once she killed him she ran outside to blend into the crowd. I chose to take a doctor's scrub and disguise myself as one of the working doctors, and it worked. I met up with Isabella and the guards asked us what we were doing and I told them I just got off shift and I was with my girlfriend about to eat lunch. She thought that was a funny idea when I tricked the guard into thinking she was my girlfriend. Isabella also thought that I was smooth for coming up with it on the fly.
After we gathered some more reconnaissance we took a rest in a small abandoned residential quarter. I worked a little magic showing her my fast hands and some more smooth talk. As night fell, we gathered back at the infirmary and released some of the prisoners to riot. The protest caused the angel Finley to come down and settle the mess.
I got to talk to him one-on-one outside the city gates. Finley divulged a mass of information to me about the Ogre King's plans and where they are drawing the powers. After we acquired this information our recon mission was complete. We found out what the Ogre King was up to and what he could do in reaction to small revolution groups. The most important piece of information was learning about the Psionic's use for the Ogre King! Next we cripple his reach...after I have fun with Isabella.

We received an SOS from a fellow pirate captain. He claimed that one of his crew members (Karl) was acting crazy. We sailed over as quickly as possible, arriving in an hour without any interruptions. Upon arrival, we noticed things had gone way out of control.
A giant octopus monster was attacking one side of the ship. Winged demons were fighting against pirates on the ship as well. But the most peculiar thing was a pirate on top of the crow's nest who was glowing with wild purple energy. He was acting like a conductor, moving his hands while controlling the actions of the demons and giant octopus. This must be Karl. Christian immediately fired arrows at him, but they missed and flew upward due to a Wind Wall spell.
Landon flew onto the ship and started fighting demons. I launched ice spells throughout the battle, freezing and destroying demons. Karl, the pirate, kept summoning more demons and casting vile electric blasts of energy down upon us. Clearly this man was possessed by a powerful demon. Landon courageously climbed up the mast and began fighting against Karl one-on-one. The giant octopus kept trying to attack and grapple us all, but we were lucky and evaded his deadly blows. Unfortunately, all but 3 pirates died on the ship. We tried to save as many as we could. Christian summoned whales to carry the survivors to safety and to look for others.
I killed most of the demons while Christian picked off a few and fired arrows at the giant octopus. But I got the final blow, using my ice magic to kill the giant octopus and any remaining demons. However, the MVP of the battle was Landon because he single-handedly defeated Karl, a powerful opponent with dark magic and melee combat abilities. Then a demonic spirit left Karl’s body and tried to possess Landon, but he knocked the spirit into the ocean and we never saw it again. Perhaps now there's a demonic shark terrorizing the ocean...but that's a silly thought and not our concern.
The pirate captain, two additional pirate crew members, and Karl were the only survivors. They were tough, so we recruited them onto our fleet. Their ship was completely destroyed and had nothing worth salvaging. There were two cannons, but nobody paid attention to them and they fell overboard during the battle. We sunk the ship and sailed off. I spent an hour healing their wounds while Karl shared many stories about the past, including how the Ogre King came to power.

The unicorn returned with information about how and why mutated creatures and demons are appearing in our world. It involves a magical book taken years ago from a dragon cave in the High Forest. Lady Moonfire has this book because it gives her incredible magic powers. However, it creates random unknown consequences around the world such as opening portals for demons and mutating normal creatures into monsters. Lady Moonfire is the mayor of Waterdeep, the largest coastal trade city in Faerun. Unfortunately, it’s allied with the Ogre King.
Our mission was simple: get into the city, steal the book, and return it to the dragon cave in the High Forest. What could possibly go wrong? Christian walked through the entrance of the city dressed as a prince and convinced the guards to lead him to the castle and Royal Library. Altier snuck inside using stealth. Landon and I were told to wait one hour, then enter the city and create a distraction if Altier and Christian had not returned. After an hour, they had not returned.
Landon and I paid money and entered the city walls. Unfortunately, we did not think of disguising ourselves. As soon as we walked through the entrance, 20 arrows flew at us. We’ve clearly earned a reputation; wanted by the Ogre King. All the arrows bounced off me, thanks to my ice body defense, and we started running toward the castle. Nothing could touch me as I ran ahead, but Landon took a few hits to his legs and fell behind. I turned around and blasted our enemies with ice magic to help Landon catch up.
We busted into the castle courtyard and saw a floating magical book, Christian running for his life, guardsmen chasing after him, and 10 archers ready to fire. I shot more ice spells and froze 7 out of 10 archers. The remaining 3 archers fired upon Christian and a few guardsmen charged him. Blood shot out, but Christian survived and teleported all of us to the pirate ship.
The magic book was at the center of the boat blasting off sonic waves that sounded like a dragon! Our pirates were being paralyzed with pain and the boat was being destroyed as these waves continued to blast off every 6 seconds. The book had to be disarmed immediately. Altier, Isabella, and a fellow pirate all tried to disarm it, but they failed. Things were going too far, so I made a desperate move. I dove onto the book and cast Plane Shift.
I brought the book with me to the Plane of Positive Energy. The book continually blasts off a dragon roar every six seconds because I’m not the true owner. Fortunately, my defenses allow me to withstand the pain and the Plane of Positive Energy greatly improves my regeneration so that any damage I take is automatically healed. However, the group needs to bring someone who can disable this device quickly before the denizens of this plane rob or kill me.

I waited in the Plane of Positive Energy for hours, walking around and trying my best to avoid trouble. But this stupid arcane tomb kept exploding every six seconds and attracting attention. I killed multiple strange energy creatures along the way. They were creepy because they would knock creatures unconscious by filling them with too much positive energy, then they would suck their life force completely dry. Thankfully, this cursed item helped me defeat the creatures quickly by constantly dealing sonic damage along with my ice magic.
I was alone again for some time until a ridiculous event occurred: a tarrasque walked through a magical gate! I don't know how this happened and surely my death was imminent until I realized this cursed arcane tomb could save my life! The tarrasque charged at me and the arcane item exploded. I instinctively allowed the item to blast me away from the tarrasque and avoid his attacks. I realized that if I kept trying to freeze the creature with ice magic and timed everything perfectly, then I could always remain a safe distance away from it. It didn't matter if I took damage from the arcane tomb because my regeneration and the Plane of Positive Energy constantly healed my wounds.
I did this for quite a while until my friends finally came to save me. Altier threw daggers to harm and distract the tarrasque. Unfortunately, Rei did something very stupid; he teleported next to the tarrasque and tried to take it on upclose. The tarrasque ate him alive within six seconds. There was nothing we could do except watch him die. As the tarrasque finished eating him, we all gathered together and plane shifted back into the Material Plane and onto our pirate ship.
With a lot of struggle and repeated attempts, Altier, Isabella, and another pirate all worked together and disabled the dangerous arcane tomb. Afterward, Garth sent us a message explaining that we need to find a way to protect the underground or else the Ogre King may destroy it all in the same manner that he tried destroying the High Forest and Loudwater.
Our unicorn friend was with us and everyone donated up to 50,000gp to resurrect Rei. Altier graciously donated 40,000gp, which was an amazing surprise. The unicorn brought the money to his god and Rei refused to be resurrected. He wanted to rest in peace. However, he did send us a final message. He told us to research the mythals of the High Forest and see if we cold re-create them in an effort to protect Garth and the underground.
We all teleported to the High Forest, spoke with our old elven friends, then traveled to the dragon cave. We met this immense dragon who was thrilled about how many people died over the years as a result of the arcane tomb. He allowed us to return the arcane tomb onto a magical pedestal. We all felt a sudden rush of dark energy and all seemed well in the world.
I started researching the mythals of the High Forest and figured out that we could re-create mythals in an alternate plane that has a slower or dead flow of time. This would allow us plenty of time to secretly build the mythals away from the eyes of the Ogre King and then transport them to the underground upon completion. Now we just need the best crafters and a lot of gold.

I spent a few hours in the High Forest studying the ancient mythals with Landon. The mythals must have been created by someone, whether it was gods, elves, or other creatures I do not know. If they were created, it must be possible to re-create them with the right crafters and resources.
During our research, we heard strange noises and suddenly a half-angel crashed down in front of us. He had white wings with red blood stains, a sword and shield, and full-plate armor. He stood up and pulled a few arrows out of his armor and wings. Then we saw a group of 5 horses and 10 halfling assassins charging toward us. Landon cast a Blade Barrier spell right in front of them. The horses stopped and the halflings disappeared. With our blindsight, Landon and I sensed that they were invisible and trying to sneak attack us. The half-angel (Yeger) was having a bit or trouble.
I cast countless ice magic spells to freeze and kill these creatures. I also cast Tidal Wave and sent to two halflings into the Blade Barrier. Yeger also launched a few enemies with his powerful sword attacks into the Blade Barrier. Landon and Yeger picked off the frozen ones and together we laid waste to all but one who ran away. Unfortunately, they dealt plenty of damage to Yeger and Landon. They both had blood dripping and many wounds on their bodies thanks to dozens of throwing daggers.
Suddenly, another Tidal Wave launched me into the Blade Barrier. I was pissed! Yeger and Landon chased after the mysterious enemy. The enemy kept casting annoying spells to damage, deafen, and slow down Yeger and Landon. He was beyond our power and would have surely killed us all had I not gotten lucky enough to freeze him with magic. As he turned into ice, he teleported away.
We talked with Yeger for a while and he divulged his background story. He used to fight as a captain of the Ogre King's guards. Then he decided to betray and kill the Ogre King's guards and ran away to the High Forest for safety. I did not trust him and stormed ahead toward the elves to inform them about the situation. Landon wanted to give him a chance and suggested a test of loyalty. Landon told the elves to have Yeger kill demons and devils trying to invade the High Forest. They were outside the forest banging on the ancient mythals which kept the demons and devils from entering.
I went to trance for 4 hours in order to rest and regain my lost magic. Landon chose to rest as well. Our old friend Bahd decided to accompany Yeger as a witness. They left and came back a few hours later. It was a success. Yeger defeated the devils and demons, thus proving himself worthy of the elves. I suppose it's a good thing because we need reinforcements to help defeat the Ogre King.

Liana came to us for urgent help. She begged the group to do an insane task. She wanted us to go to the Plane of Negative Energy and defeat the greatest source of power in order to help the psionic mages on the floating continent. The psionic mages only work with the Ogre King because he provides them with sources of energy in order to survive. If we find a way to defeat and control the source of energy in the Plane of Negative Energy, then the psionic mages will no longer support the Ogre King.
At first I refused to go for multiple reasons. First of all, the chance of survival is very slim because that place literally sucks the life out of you just by being there. Second of all, there was no guarantee that the psionic mages would stop supporting the Ogre King. They could easily betray us after completing the quest. My third and final reason is because I’m a water elemental and I believe in maintaining a balance of power within nature. Going to the Plane of Negative Energy and controlling the main source of power for the psionic mages to use is completely destroying the balance of nature.
Despite all of my reasons, Christian asked me to join and Liana pointed out that a true friend would go no matter what cost in order to ensure the safety of my friends. Liana was the deciding factor in my decision. Friends are number one in my life, so I went with them. Before leaving, we did some trading with our friendly magical merchant (Gestalfa) and called upon our friendly unicorn for aid. He cast magic to protect us from negative energy and then we left.
With this protective magic, fighting through the Plane of Negative Energy wasn’t that difficult. We found our way to the main source of power. It was a giant vortex where negative energy creatures often appeared. We tried approaching with stealth, but the vortex sensed us. It created multiple negative energy creatures and defended itself with bursts of dispel magic while the creatures engaged us in combat. We fought hard and defeated everything, even the vortex itself. However, Landon fought carelessly and died. He should have retreated but stayed and fought till the end. He was a great help.
We took control of the energy vortex and reported back to Liana. She was thrilled by the news, but we had to revive Landon. Christian called the unicorn down and negotiated with him. We gathered up 30,000 gp, gave it to the unicorn, and he successfully revived Landon. Christian and Liana went to the floating continent, spoke with the psionic mages, and a lot happened. They opened a giant portal into the Plane of Negative Energy, moved their entire continent into it, and gave us lots of gold as compensation for our actions. Other nations around the world heard of our success and secretly sent us money to help fight against the Ogre King as well.
This was all great news, but I began worrying about Kendra (Derek’s water elemental mage sister). We were supposed to go find her and help her the same way that we’ve helped her siblings. I tried contacting her through magical means and received no answer. I tried talking to the ocean’s creatures and the earth with my magic, but they did not know her whereabouts either. This was truly a bad omen. The future is now more uncertain than ever before. I hope we are prepared for whatever happens next.

Karl, the pirate, wanted to tell us a story about the past. He said that since we're fighting the Ogre King, we need to know his background story. The Ogre King was born years ago and tried to conquer the world with armies of ogres and goblins. He was too powerful to kill, so mages sealed his body and soul.
Apparently, another group of adventurers accidentally helped a goblin shaman revive the Ogre King 5-10 years ago. The group tried to right the wrong by fighting the Ogre King numerous times. Eventually, there was a final battle and the group died. But the group was betrayed by an ally during battle. The traitor's name is unknown and the bard who lived to tell the tale is nowhere to be found.
Now that Kendra, the water elemental, is not watching over the oceans, dirty deeds are going unnoticed. Karl caught word that a few groups of the Ogre King's men visited a few islands, killed the residents, stole their treasure, and are now hiding on another island. We decided to venture over and kick some ass.
Yeger flew around and scouted out three specific locations on the island where the men were eating dead villagers and counting their treasure. Landon commanded our pirate fleet to surround the island and ensure nobody escapes. Our group ventured into the island by foot.
We found the first location and charged in like true reckless heroes. We wrecked havok and killed all but one ogre. Yeger interrogated him, found out information about the other two locations of men on the island, then Yeger asked me what to do with the ogre.
Normally I have sympathy for the enemy, but these men attacked and killed residents for treasure and nothing else. They were not commanded by the Ogre King, they were actually acting on their own and hiding their stolen treasure from the Ogre King. So I said kill the guy and Yeger and Landon took care of it. Then we returned to our pirate ship for a quick rest and began planning our next move. The last two locations on the island have more men and they now know of our presence.

We went back to the island to finish the job. There were ogres with large falchions charging at us. They also had ogres, in the back, throwing boulders at us like nothing. Landon and I avoided being crushed, but the chargers caught us by surprise and dealt us good damage. These ogres were tough, but couldn't dodge anything to save their lives. Instead of trying to freeze them, I used different ice spells to deal raw damage. I fired countless cones of cold and with everyone else's help, we killed all the ogres and took their stolen treasure.
We returned to ship and found out that our pirates sunk the last ogre ship that was trying to leave the island. I spent an hour diving up and down from the ogre ship gathering any treasure I could find. It was well worth it.
Landon wasn't satisfied and wanted more, so we went sailing the high seas looking for trouble. We found a sinking ship and saved about 10 sailors and some of their treasure. Then we found the motherload...6 ships fighting each other! Three were Ogre King ships and the others were random pirate ships.
We aided the pirates by attacking and defeating the Ogre King ships. Our fleet was a great help, but we lost a few members. I swam from ship to ship firing ice spells and distracting enemies while my companions killed them off. Landon actually chopped off the heads of three enemies in 6 seconds! Two other enemies nearby jumped off ship in fear, but were eaten alive by Christian's magically-summoned whales.
In the end, we successfully defeated all three Ogre King ships. We spent the rest of the day and night there, repairing ships, healing wounds, and enjoying time with our new pirate companions. A few pirates joined our fleet after witnessing our combat abilities. We obtained lots of treasure, pirates, and ships. Today was a complete success. At the end of the night, however, Christian pointed out that things have been too easy lately. I feel something terrible is coming soon; I hope I'm wrong.
