There are fantastic DC animated movies that people must see.
I recently watched "Superman Unbound" and it had lots of action and an interesting look into Clark Kent's personal life. You see how he thinks and treats the people he loves. You also get to see a more down-to-earth version of his relationship with Lois Lane and Supergirl.
"Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox" is absolutely incredible. This is possibly the best DC movie I've ever seen. It's about the Flash accidentally changing the future and trying to fix it. All of the best DC heroes and villains are involved, but they're very different and more aggressive and interesting since the future was changed.
I hope you check out the movies above because they are both very good.

I recently watched the DC movie "Justice League Doom". It provides great insight into the original Justice League heroes and their personal thoughts, feelings, and ways of thinking. It shows their weaknesses and how other villains are able to exploit them. It also teaches you a lot about Randall Savage, including his background story and why he is evil. Batman plays a major role in this movie too, so check it out. I find that every movie with Batman is totally amazing. Cheers to DC for another great success.

DC's latest animated Justice League movie "Throne of Atlantis" had a great plot, but the action was a bit lacking. There were action scenes and people did die, but it seemed too easy in the end. It just wasn't climactic enough. The previous Justice League movie with Apokolips was much cooler. The villain in this movie was too weak and didn't really challenge the Justice League. After the ending movie credits, however, they revealed the involvement of Lex Luther. This means the next movie should be very interesting.
