Hello everyone! We found a new group of people and started an Avatar campaign. We started at level 1 with characters who can use elemental bending. The first session took place in Republic City. We all participated in a pro-bending tournament.

This campaign has been exciting since the beginning. We've played multiple sessions and so much has already happened, it's hard to keep up. Our group is certainly not the typical heroes. Our fire bender intimidates everyone, friend or foe, and kills enemies whenever possible. Our earth bender loves making domes and walls around enemies. We have two water benders, one is amazing and the other is terrible. Then we have two NPCs: Cherry the air bender and her nameless brother who's a water/healing bender.
So here's a summary of what we've done so far. Our group competed in an amateur pro-bending tournament, made it to the finals, and lost to a cocky water bending team. At the end of the tournament, an airship attacked and kidnapped weak elemental benders. Von, the good and tricky water bender, picked a fight with the water team at the beach, impressed them by throwing a shark, and became their fifth member/substitute.
The other group members picked fights with random people inside one or two bars. They became good friends with Varrick, a businessman who creates technology, movies, and has a shipping company. Cherry went to the movies with Von and fought gang members of the Triad to save an undercover cop named Drake. He revealed that there are crooked cops involved with the kidnapping of benders and the Triad.
Lastly, the group traveled by boat to the Northern Water tribe temple to train. Along the way, a submarine with fire-bending pirates attacked the boat. The group fought against them, killed many, captured one, and interrogated/killed him. They found out that the pirates stole a submarine from the water tribe and they often head back to Cruzan Island to meet other pirates. The group eventually arrived at the water temple, met a female water master, paid and trained with her for two days.

Air Nation Catastrophe
While our friends visited the Water tribe, Von (water bender) and I (Cherry) went to Air Temple Island near Republic City. We met air bending children who liked to play games. They tested us and other new students with a few basic exercises. Since I'm already an air bender, it was all super easy for me. In fact, the air master in charge of the temple complimented me personally. There was also another random guy who did as well as I did. However, he swore that he'd never done air bending before.
Von was nervous and doubtful about being able to learn air bending. Air master Lao introduced himself to Von and had a conversation, then they fought. Von lost, but Lao complimented Von on his skills and convinced him to attempt learning air bending. We conducted training for half a day, then took an airship to another Air temple for more training.
While on the airship, a disaster occurred. The man who claimed that he'd never done air bending before was an air/fire master in disguise. The two masters started fighting each other. Other people onboard who were pretending to be students were actually pirates in disguise and they began attacking the new students. We all fought and I even dealt damage to the air/fire master. But the other students were knocked out or killed and Von and I were soon overwhelmed by pirates. We both fell unconscious.
Von and I woke up at the Southern Air Temple. Lao told us that he managed to save us and two other students, but the rest died. The airship also took significant damage, but it could be repaired. Lao blamed himself for everything, feeling like a failure. Von convinced Lao that it wasn't his fault, that we were all caught by surprise. Lao thanked Von for his reassurance and agreed to finish training us.
The next morning, we completed our training with Lao by climbing a mountain and fighting at the top. I learned how to perform Knockback and Von finally learned air bending. Then I fought against Von and whooped his ass! We returned to the air temple and contacted our friends at the Water tribe.

So yeah keep it on the down low but uh, as bad as we got our asses kicked it was totally worth it to have Cherry with her guard down. Full nude shot in the shower and she never found out. Oh and I absolutely hate that ring air bender master, he is such a freak in prick.

Fire Nation and the Giant Serpent!
We all agreed to meet at Fire Nation. Thankfully, no disasters happened along the way. When we arrived, everyone wanted to be trained by the master. We met 9 students and their trainer Greg, who was powerful and stern. He sent us to Master Kao. Kao seemed like an arrogant spoiled king, but he was quite fashionable and flamboyant. He took our fire bender, The Law, away for "private" training. I went with his assistant to learn fire bending. The rest of our group returned to Greg and his students for training.
I had trouble at first, but I quickly learned how to perform fire bending. The Law, on the other hand, was having a lot of trouble. Unfortunately, Kao likes to "play" with his students. I found Kao torturing Law with electricity, gas-powered generators, and water. Most importantly, Kao had an electricity dampening device activated so that it would be harder for Law to learn lightning bending. Once he deactivated the device, Law quickly mustered up lightning and even stole money from Kao.
Kao should have been angry, but instead he was impressed and gave us a mission. He explained how his way of managing Fire Nation is a bit more suave and gentle compared to previous rulers. As a result, fire benders have been running away from Fire Nation to become pirates. He wants us to bring back as many fire benders as we can, alive. I tried sweet talking Kao to lend us a ship, but he told us to find our own.
We met a poor guy who sells cabbages. We helped repair his crappy boat and agreed to be his mercenaries and protect his ship. He had been robbed by pirates often. We decided to head toward Cruzan Island, where most pirates park their boats and hangout. We also planned to take over a pirate ship and use that to dock at Cruzan Island.
While traveling, however, we got attacked by a giant serpent. It was bigger than our boat! It could do everything! It spewed out acid all over us, miniature monsters spawned from its body to attack us, and it also bit us numerous times. It damaged our boat, but we all did a great job fighting it off.
The creature eventually retreated toward Kyoshi Island. We traveled there as fast as we could. The trip took us two days, but we got there and a huge battle was happening. The giant serpent was on land attacking the capital of Kyoshi Island! Armies of miniature monsters were attacking and killing civilians, so we helped them first.
Afterward, we reached the giant serpent and his entourage of monsters and fought alongside the Kyoshi Warriors. Our team launched a combined elemental attack that significantly hurt the giant serpent, but he continued fighting. Monsters were destroying the capital building, where civilians were hiding. We all jumped into action to protect them. After defeating the smaller monsters, I jumped on top of the giant serpent and started beating down harshly. Suddenly, spikes shot out of its body and completely impaled me. I woke up next morning on a bed, happy and surprised that I survived.

Kyoshi Island Games and Politics
I convinced everyone to enjoy a day at Kyoshi Island. We explored the different villages, went fishing, and met nice people. However, three earth benders and three mercenaries from Earth Nation came to collect taxes. Normally they never do this, but lately, the Earth Queen has been pressuring Kyoshi Island to follow their laws and customs. The Earth Queen wants to unite all provinces of Earth Nation under her rule, like a dictatorship.
Our group fought against the tax collectors. We killed four, captured one mercenary, and the last earth bender escaped. We interrogated the mercenary and he told us all about the Earth Queen's plans. She is paying pirates to attack Kyoshi Island every day until the Kyoshi Warriors are weak enough for Earth Nation to invade and take control of Kyoshi Island without significant resistance.
Since we found out about this plan, we started training in preparation. Fate Shaw, our earth bender friend, found Toph (the legendary earth/metal bending master who is blind). She trained Fate Shaw how to do metal bending via cooking and house cleaning. The rest of us sparred and trained with Kyoshi Warriors.

Aliens on Kyoshi Island
Last night was random and ridiculous. We fought against aliens who crash-landed onto the beach of Kyoshi Island. It was fun and nobody died! It was one of our best battles yet. Fate Shaw and Kisame tanked hard, taking multiple hits from the aliens. Kisame also healed allies, Fate built walls to protect us against the alien ship's blaster cannon, then Fate destroyed the cannon with metal bending. I dealt massive area damage and used CPR with my air bending to save a Kyoshi Warrior girl. By the end, everyone was useful and awesome.

Too Many Pirates!
We finally made it to Cruzan Island. It was a tropical paradise, full of people partying and drowning in golden riches. I started drinking and using my feminine abilities to lure men to our ship. My plan was to have fun and surprise attack them, one by one, until we captured most of the fire-bending pirates. However, my stupid teammates had other plans.
They scared away one guy and then they really wanted to enter a cave on the island. I jumped into the middle of the party and started an epic Conga line. Soon all the pirates on the island were grabbing hips and following me around. I had a blast with free food, alcohol, and fun. Meanwhile, my teammates were stealing gold and valuable items from inside the cave, including a mysterious medallion. When they came out, my conga line had made its way around the island and back to the cave entrance. The pirates wanted to enter the cave to drink and party harder. There was nothing I could do except hope that my teammates were done…they were not. In fact, they were walking out with pockets and bags full of stolen goods.
The pirates instantly became enraged and tried attacking them. Fate knocked everyone down by causing a minor earthquake, then he launched himself to our ship. Another fire-bending friend of ours launched himself to our ship, as did I. The pirates came running after us and we set fire to the docks. Captain Crimson, leader of the pirates, jumped onto the docks, extinguished the flames, and destroyed the docks all by swinging his scimitars. Once the smoke cleared, he was floating in mid-air, vengeful and ready to strike.
The captain wanted his stolen medallion back. We found out that it’s an ancient artifact that cannot leave the island without dire consequences. The pirates pray to it, like a deity, and in return, Captain Crimson can wear it to gain great power and defend the island from any threats. That’s why all pirates come here, knowing that police and others can never attack nor breach the island.
Our fire bender created a fire whip and grabbed hold of Captain Crimson…big mistake. The captain pulled him in and skewered him with both scimitars! The guy’s whole body got stuck on the primary scimitar! Fate and I managed to narrowly save our friend and get away from the island on our ship. Unfortunately, our friend was holding the medallion and it went berserk! He tried holding and controlling it, but it blew his hand off! Fate used metal bending to toss the medallion into the ocean and that’s when all hell broke loose. The entire island experienced a massive earthquake, a total meltdown that caused the whole island to sink! Out of 100 pirates, only half of them managed to escape with their ships…the other half died!
The pirates were furious! They sailed after us, using elemental bending to catch up. They launched arrows, cannons, everything to stop us. I used air bending to propel our ship. By sheer luck, my teammates caused most of their ships to slow down and collide into each other, narrowly escaping capture. However, there were still two pirate ships on our asses. I took a cannon shot to the face to save our ship. It launched me into the water, but I was able to get back aboard ship. Our fire bender friend fell unconscious from a volley of arrows and we were nearly doomed again, until Fate forced one ship to drop its anchor with metal bending. The last two pirate ships crashed into each other and we successfully escaped.
I used a medical kit and my first aid skills to keep our fire bender friend alive. We eventually made it back to Kyoshi Island, but we only had a day to prepare. The pirates were gathering reinforcements and an all-out war was about to happen. With all of the stolen pirates’ gold, we hired mercenaries to help protect Kyoshi Island. Lord Zuko showed up on Kyoshi Island with his own dragon and Master Kao from Fire Nation. After clever negotiation and trading away our alien technology, they agreed to fight against Earth Nation while we took care of the pirates. Additionally, Lord Zuko gave our fire bender friend a dragon egg.
At night time, we had a short training battle with Kyoshi Warrior women. Fate was the MVP, as he utilized earth bending to bury the women underground and ultimately win the battle for us. Afterward, we threw a party to celebrate with everyone, in case we die or fail in the war tomorrow. I also sent messages to my friends and family in Republic City. I love and miss them so much. After this war, I want to go home.

Great TIER/Avatar session last night. We were at sea and ran into a cloudy area with a small island made of rock. There were sirens and ghostly centaurs. We defeated a few and met a small boy with healing. He needed our help to save his people. We soon found out that the boy and his people were ghosts, and so were the centaurs. We fought and defeated them, but The Law (firebender) went unconscious because he recklessly charged into battle against 10 centaurs. Fortunately, the spirit of Lion Turtle revived The Law and gave him combat advice. The Law came back to life, started being smart by building walls of lightning and fire. We defeated them all and saved the imprisoned ghost villagers. However, they needed help in order to be at peace and move on to the afterlife. So, we spent a month helping them rebuild their island into a decent village. We also trained with the ghost villagers. After one month, we left the island and continued to Cruzan Island to fight pirates. Surprisingly, time did not pass at all while we were on that ghost island.

Kyoshi War, Part 1
Pirates attacked everywhere! Our group used all of our best elemental bending techs to slow down and destroy the ships before they landed, but hundreds of pirates still made it to shore. Luckily, the Kyoshi warrior women and the mercenaries that we hired helped us greatly. We came across six powerful elemental benders and took care of them.
The battle was epic and not in my favor at the beginning. I spent the first half of the battle being controlled by a blood bender and stuck inside a dome of metal. Our two firebenders did amazingly well and killed two enemies quickly. Everyone else was at a stalemate until I had a lucky break. I killed the blood bender and another enemy as well. I had fun knocking enemies into the metal domes to deal extra damage, it was like playing pinball.
Soon we all ganged up on the rest. The Law went unconscious, but our healing waterbender friend saved him. The pirates were all defeated and so were the elemental benders. We lived, but I'm sure there's more to come.

Kyoshi War, Part 2
There was a guy wearing all purple. He killed the giant serpent by himself, then began killing pirates and kyoshi warriors. Fate Shaw, Von, Flint, and I rushed over to stop the maniac. My friends engaged him directly while I fought pirates and saved four kyoshi warriors. Eventually I jumped into the fray, going toe-to-toe with the purple guy. I damaged and knocked him around a few times, but he kept going underground and making our allies sink into the ground too. Eventually we forced him out of the ground and demolished him. Von and Fate Shaw made sure to kill him permanently.
He had a few artifacts on him, including a really cool sword. We took a closer look at his clothes. He wore a purple overcoat with a white lotus flower. Our friend, the water bender/healer, came over to us and healed our wounds, then went back to help The Law and kyoshi warriors fight against pirates. The rest of us went to the Fire Nation airships and boats to help fight against Earth Nation.
We soon arrived and found out that Zuko and his dragon were kidnapped. Multiple members of the Fire Nation royal family had also been killed. Azula went crazy because her granddaughter was severely injured. Now she’s killing everyone in the battle. We went over to where she was, standing on an iceberg, and tried approaching, but she was killing friends and foes with blue fire.
Von used water bending to move the iceberg away from the battle, then I snuck onto the iceberg with my hands in the air. I called out to Azula and negotiated with her. Von found out that her granddaughter was still alive, but in dire need of medical help. I asked Azula for permission to help, then I started CPR. I successfully brought her granddaughter back to life and Von told me to go get our water bender/healing friend for additional assistance.
I swiftly flew away and heard cries of pain. I turned back and saw Azula fall onto the iceberg with a hole through her chest…she was assassinated by a purple lotus hidden in the water. It was actually a submarine with numerous elemental benders. Fire Nation and Earth Nation attacked the submarine together, but it somehow repelled all of the attacks.
Fire Nation and Earth Nation both decided to retreat back to their respective countries. The pirates were still fighting, but we’ll end that quickly and head to Republic City. We received word that Republic City is under attack.

Pirates, Purple Lotus, Moles, and Republic City
We travelled back to Kyoshi Island and found The Law fighting against pirates all alone! How that happened, nobody knows. We jumped into the fray and fought everything. Unfortunately, Purple Lotus benders arrived as well. I fought alongside The Law against pirates, a lightning bender, a combustion bender, and an earth bender. We both almost went unconscious. We narrowly escaped and joined the rest of the group, who was hiding behind walls of fire and stone.
Flint was very smart and helpful. He sent his ghost companion to go find help. Luckily, my brother was on a paddle boat nearby and the ghost brought him to us! I was so happy to see my brother that I gave him a huge hug and he quickly healed all of us. We strengthened our walls and gave Von time because he said he had a plan.
What happened next was unexpected and awesome. Von created a massive cloud and I used my air bending to make it into a whirlwind storm. We placed it on top of the enemies and our group all started launching elemental attacks into the storm, making it extremely dangerous and powerful. Everything inside the storm died, except the earth bender. Fate Shaw used metal bending to trap him inside a cage, but he somehow broke out and escaped.
Fate Shaw wanted to find Toph, so we looked for a while and soon met a bunch of moles! They were able to talk with him through earth bending. They want us to find Toph. I think and hope that she's in Republic City. The moles launched us into the sky and Von created a cloud for us to float on. I used my air bending to push our cloud for a while. I also thanked everyone, but especially Von, for saving us with his cloud bending. I won't lie, it was a turn-on. Without him, we probably would have died.
Our cloud was moving slow, so the rest of the group thought of a faster way to travel. We went down to the ocean and created an ice boat with elemental bending. Now Von, my brother, and I took turns propelling the ice boat to Republic City. We arrived a day and a half later, but there were many surprises. Air bending island was trashed! Republic City was also divided into three different groups: Triads, Police, and Northern Water Tribe.

Side Quest: Attack on Titan!
On our way to Republic City, we saw an island and I became very hungry. We hadn’t had a good meal in days. We were eating rations, which consists of dried up fruit, old bread, and hard nasty meat. My brother was using his elemental bending to drive our iceboat and I shoved him out of the way. “We’re going to that island to get some real food damn it!” I took control with my air bending and parked the boat on the beach.
It was beautiful! Fruit trees everywhere! I flew up and started snatching food for myself and others. Then I flew into the jungle. We soon reached a massive city-sized crater! Everything was dead! No life and no plants, all desecrated, except for one small hut in the middle of the crater. The Law’s ghost companion flew to the hut and told us that someone was inside. The rest of the group was hesitant, but I bravely opened the door.
Inside the hut, an old man was meditating. When we walked in, he turned around and started crying! I felt immense pain and sadness coming from him, so I approached and hugged him. The others were apprehensive, but soon the man explained. “God told me you were coming. He said the chosen ones would appear if I waited long enough. 50 years and you finally showed up…thank you.” He cried a bit more and then asked if we would help him. Of course, I said yes without a second thought.
He explained his story. “70 years ago, this island held a prosperous city. Everything was perfect, until titans came out of the sea and attacked us. First one showed up, then another, and another. We created walls and an army to defend ourselves. We were able to survive for a while, until the day all titans attacked us at once. We never stood a chance. I ran away, along with other soldiers and civilians, but everyone died except me. I was the sole survivor, floating on a plank of wood. I reached another city and lived there for 20 years, but I wasn’t happy. I knew something was missing. I came back to this island and spent a year living off the land, but it wasn't helping at all. I knew God wanted me here for a reason, and after a year, it hit me. He wanted me to change the past, but I didn't know how. I spent 49 years meditating and I finally figured it out. God told me you all would come here when I was ready, and now you're here. Will you help me?”
The group started making jokes, asking for money and other rewards. My mouth dropped; I was shocked. I couldn't believe the things they were saying! I told the man that we would definitely help and he told us to sit in a circle. The man began meditating, summoning all of his energy, and he turned into pure light. His bright light blinded all of us.
We appeared outside on the beach. Everything seemed normal, until numerous civilians and soldiers ran out of the jungle. We felt shaking and saw a giant titan pulling the trees apart and trying to eat people! Our fire benders created fire walls and I blasted myself over the titan and shot fire at his back, forcing him to stumble into the fire walls! The others tried attacking from the front, but his defenses were strong in the front. The titan rolled over a line of soldiers and civilians, killing them instantly. Then he punted my brother into the ocean! The Law tried paralyzing him, but he was simply too big; he couldn’t generate enough electricity.
We eventually defeated it, but it killed multiple soldiers and civilians. We saved roughly half of the people. The soldiers told us what was going on and we figured out exactly what happened. The old man in the hut somehow sent us 70 years back in time to save his home, the city of Guardia. The civilians got onto a boat and the few soldiers joined us.
We ran into the jungle and saw two more titans attacking people. We took them out faster this time and saved a majority of civilians and soldiers. We used clever placement of walls and knockback tactics to minimize casualties. Now we had a small army of soldiers and two lieutenants. We eventually made it to the city and castle and saw seven titans attacking soldiers on the walls and surrounding city area. There was also one larger titan on top of the castle, pounding away and eating people.
We all took on the titans. During battle, the soldiers looked very worried. We asked what was wrong and they explained that the city had a nuclear weapon! If they couldn’t win the fight against the titans, they city leaders would blow up the entire city to kill the titans and make sure that they don’t attack the rest of the world. At that point, Flint and I started focusing on the largest titan attacking the castle. We kept using knockback attacks to keep him off the castle.
We all almost died, but my brother kept healing us. The soldiers all died, except one lieutenant. Flint told him that he did a great job and to leave the rest of the battle to us. The lieutenant ran away to check on the boats and civilians who escaped. I finally managed to knockdown the largest titan and The Law killed him by setting him on fire. We defeated the remaining titans, then we all instantly disappeared.
We reappeared in our present time period, in the middle of a beautiful tropical city! We saw the castle and hundreds of people on the streets! They were bringing us food and celebrating. We looked around and saw statues of ourselves. The old man from the hut was there too. He hugged us and cried with happiness. He told us that he remembered everything, the old history and new change in history as a result of our actions. He also thanked us for telling him to run away during the last battle…he was the last lieutenant! We enjoyed festivities, free food, and gold as thanks for changing history and saving their city. We also picked up two allies, a female soldier for Fate Shaw and a male soldier for me. They want to see the world…and have a romantic interest in us. We soon left the island/city of Guardia and continued onward to Republic City.

Republic City Shenanigans
This session was silly and annoying. We ran around a lot, but didn’t get a lot done. First, we found a secret tunnel leading from Air Bender Island to the Police Station in Republic City. Then we fought three bad guys, met a new earth bender ally, and went to the Northern Water Tribe. They arrested and interrogated us, then shipped us out to an island. We found out the hard way that they were the enemies.
Next we decided to go into the secret tunnel to warn the Police about the Northern Water Tribe. We used elemental bending to drill our own tunnel and get there, but the Police tried killing us. Luckily we escaped and made our way to the Triads. Ironically, they were the good guys.
Good policemen teamed up with the Triads, along with Chief Bei Fong and Mako! We met them, discussed strategy, and planned to save the city together. But first, we have to save Mako’s girlfriend. She’s in charge of military technology in Republic City, but she’s been captured. We need her in order to get military weapons and help us gain control of Republic City.
